Long time, no blog.

Long time, no blog. Correct. The reason? No time! Which ironically hinges the gap from my last blog!

The last few weeks have been filled with a trip to Northampton, an escape to Wales, four birthdays, my Dad disappearing to Ghana for ten days on a mission trip, a week of navigating my class of children through their SATs tests, our 21st century women’s conference, two ridiculously early mornings, an early morning walk to see the Olympic torch and a million and one other things; marking, paperwork, emails, phone calls and meetings at work and housework, washing, cleaning, more school work and other chores and tasks at home.

Time Out

One little word. Four little letters. One massive concept. TIME.

You can’t see it, you can’t smell it, you can’t taste it, you can’t touch it … but you can ‘feel’ it.

You feel it when everything in you is willing it to speed up. You feel it when everything in you is willing it to slow down. You feel it when everything in you is just willing it to stop altogether, just so you can pause and catch your breath or just savour and drink in every detail of a special moment.

When Abigail met the Queen!

So Abigail, what have you been up to this week? Well, on Wednesday I met Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh! Now, when I say ‘met’ she didn’t technically speak directly to me but she was stood right in front of me and talked to my lovely school children, who bowed and curtseyed and gave her flowers.

How did I find myself in such a situation? You might well ask! It seems I spend my life unintentionally getting myself into all sorts of unexpected situations and pickles!
